EGGS INCUBATORS CLASSIFICATION:
There are 4 broad classification methods with which Eggs incubators are classified. Make sure that you are familiar with this criteria before sourcing for an eggs incubator.
1. SIZE
This is the most common classification approach whereby the machines are named depending on the maximum number of eggs they can accommodate. At Neochicks Ltd, we stock incubators that are between 56 Eggs up to 10,200 Eggs.
2. ORIGIN
Here, the machines are simply named depending on whether they are locally assembled or imported from a foreign source. At Neochicks Ltd, we stock both Locally manufactured incubators and imported ones.
3. POWER SOURCE.
The incubators are also referred to by the nature of the power they utilize. They are either AC powered or AC/DC (DUAL) POWERED. The AC power mostly refers to ‘Mains Electricity’ while DC power mostly refers to a combination of a solar and a 12V battery. At Neochiks Ltd, we stock both AC incubators and AC/DC incubators.
4. SETTING / HATCHING.
The machines can also be classified depending on the particular stage of incubation they are used at. For instance, a setter machine is the incubator used for the 18 days of incubation (in case of chicken eggs) while a hatcher machine is used during last 3 days for hatching purposes only. The machine can also have combined functionality ie: A setter and a hatcher at the same time. Here, it is referred to as a Full Setter / Full hatcher.
